BCuP-5 is a phos-copper-silver alloy ideal for most copper-to-copper or brass joints where close fit-up does not exist and where agitation and vibration in service are involved. Containing approximately 15% silver, this product has long been the standard in the refrigeration industry. Developed primarily for use on copper, this alloy may also be used on other non ferrous copper base alloys.
Typical Applications: applications with joint clearance of .002”-.006”; refrigeration units; electrical conductors; copper and brass fittings; air conditioning apparatus; copper and brass equipment
